Delete All Messages in a Queue

Warning   Because of the dynamic nature of queues in Exchange 2000, new messages can enter the queue at any time and be unintentionally deleted with this command. Similarly, messages you want to delete could be delivered, leaving the queue before the command executes. Microsoft recommends you first freeze messages you want to delete. Freezing will prevent them from leaving the queue. Then, if you use the custom message filter to delete only frozen messages, you don't have to worry about accidentally deleting new messages.

To remove all messages in a particular queue:

  1. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to the desired queue.
