Microsoft Exchange Database Recovery Management has minimal effect on Active Directory directory service performance or on the performance of an Exchange server. Exchange Database Recovery Management reads header information at the beginning of the database and transaction log files, and scans log files to verify their integrity. Exchange Database Recovery Management operates completely in read-only mode and does not change database or transaction log files.
