The audio minutes and video minutes report records the total number of minutes that your users spent in peer-to-peer audio and peer-to-peer video sessions. (Typically video minutes will be a subset of audio meetings, because most sessions that contain video will also contain audio.) The report itself looks similar to this:
The audio minutes and video minutes report includes the following metrics:
Metric | Description |
---|---|
Audio minutes |
Total number of minutes that users spent in peer-to-peer audio sessions. |
Video minutes |
Total number of minutes that users spent in peer-to-peer video sessions. |
Note that minutes are counted only for your users. For example, suppose Ken Myer and Alex Darrow are both users in your organization. If Ken and Alex take part in a 5 minute Lync call then 10 audio minutes will be recorded: 5 for Ken and 5 for Alex. However, if Ken calls a user outside your organization and takes part in a 5 minute conversation then only Ken’s 5 minutes will be reported. The 5 minutes for the outside user is not included in this report.
Minutes will be recorded as long as your user participates using Lync. This is true even if the other party is using, say, a landline or a cell phone.
