One of the most widely used features of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 is user and resource calendars and scheduling. The use of calendaring can be as simple as individual users managing their time and as complex as a conference room calendar that is managed by multiple users with various levels of access.

The following topic will help you troubleshoot problems you may encounter with the Autodiscover connectivity and Availability service. The Availability service for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 provides calendar information for your users. This information is known as free/busy information. The Autodiscover service provides information for the Availability service by locating and providing the external and internal URLs for the Outlook 2007 client.
