When you upload an update to the Device Update Service Management Console, the update appears on the Pending Updatestab of the Management Console. After testing the update, you can opt to approve or reject it. Approving the update moves it to the Deployed Updatestab and makes it available to devices. If you do not want an update to be deployed to your organization’s devices, you can reject it. Rejecting the update removes it from the Management Console. It does not, however, remove the update image file from the file system. To completely remove the image file, you can purge it by using the Management Console. For instructions, see Purging Log and Image Files.
|You should never manually delete an update file from the file system. Doing this could cause Device Update Service to malfunction. You should always use the Management Console purge function to remove update files.|
|When working with updates, remember that a separate instance of Device Update Service runs in each pool. When you upload, approve, reject, or roll back an update, this action takes effect only for the current pool.|
To reject an update
On the Pending Updatestab of the Device Update Service Management Console, click the update to reject. Use CTRL+click to select multiple updates.
